Island Shellfish is based in the fishing village of Port St Mary on the Isle of Man. We specialise in supplying half shell Manx Queenies to high quality restaurants and eating establishments within the UK.
The Isle of Man Fishery is extremely well managed with strict controls on landings and quotas.The local fishing fleet is made up of a small number of boats owned by families with a strong heritage of fishing.
Queenies (Queen Scallops) are small (5cm), relatively short-lived Scallops, often with a colourful shell. Despite being a shellfish, they can swim freely by squirting water from between their shells.
