The Isle of Man Fishery is extremely well managed with strict controls on landings and quotas.The local fishing fleet is made up of a small number of boats owned by families with a strong heritage of fishing.
Queenies (Queen Scallops) are small (5cm), relatively short-lived Scallops, often with a colourful shell. Despite being a shellfish, they can swim freely by squirting water from between their shells.
